The Neo-Liberal World Collapse and the Future of Science and Research Profession

Abstract The financially driven free market economy, and its neo-liberal values, blew up with their financial markets. It tried to create the market society, where everything had a market value, affecting both the science outlook, and the research profession. This will be summarized in this paper, with the changes required in research activities for citizenship strengthening of public service values, and of the attractiveness of the research profession at the service of humankind.
