Call for peace – Marrakech

WFSW appeals to an immediate ceasefire and to an end of all the conflicts which are currently taking place in the world. It is unacceptable that huge amounts of money are dedicated to war and weapons, while all over the world the basic needs of peoples and society are not fulfilled.

WFSW calls for an immediate application of the Treaty for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons adopted on July 7th, 2017.

WFSW claims that peace can only be achieved by way of negotiation between parties in conflict. Such a negotiation should take into consideration the people’s aspiration to security, as well as their legitimate rights, including the right to control their own destiny.

Science and scientific cooperation is a powerful driver of peace.

As scientific NGO, WFSW re-asserts its commitment for peace, and upholds the opinion that the role of the United Nations in such a process must be recognized, valued and respected by all.
