Beijing&Huzhou, August 11-17, 2024

Hybrid Meeting: The target audience for the event will be the members of the FMTS-WFSW Executive Council and the members of the Financial Commission, elected on 12 May 2022 at the 23rd General Assembly: EC 2022-2026. As has been done for several years, the debates will be open to interested colleagues. (pre-registration required)

Transfers from the Airport

Beijing

Beijing Capital International Airport is 25 kilometers away from the center of Beijing and 33 kilometers from Beijing Friendship Hotel (the meeting venue in Beijing). It is one of China’s three major gateway hubs and a world-class airport.
Beijing Daxing International Airport, located 69 kilometers from Beijing Friendship Hotel and 50 kilometers from the city center, is a 4F level international airport and a world-class aviation hub. Both airports are very convenient to the venue, so you can choose the airport according to your airline.
For this conference, we will provide you with exclusive pick-up services based on your flight.

Huzhou

There is no airport in Huzhou, so you can choose airports in Hangzhou or Shanghai. Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport is located in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, 27 kilometers away  from the city center, 120 kilometers away from the Taihu Lake Longemont Paradise (the meeting  venue in Huzhou).
Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, 13 kilometers away from Shanghai center and 140  kilometers away from the Taihu Lake Longemont Paradise, is a 4E civil international airport and one of China’s three gateway composite hubs.
Shanghai Pudong International Airport is about 30km from the center of Shanghai and 207km from  the Taihu Lake Longemont Paradise. It is a 4F civil airport, one of China’s three major portal composite hubs, and the largest hub airport in East China.
After your departure from Huzhou, you can choose to take the high-speed train to Hangzhou or Shanghai airport.

Beijing

Beijing is the capital of the People’s Republic of China, the political center, cultural center,  international exchange center, and science and technology innovation center of China. It is also one  of the historical and cultural cities and ancient capitals of China, and a world-class city. Beijing is the  city with the most world heritage sites (7 locations) and the first capital city in the world to have a  world geological park. There are over 200 tourist attractions in Beijing that are open to the public, including the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, and Old Summer Palace, as well as  famous historical sites such as the Great Wall and Prince Gong’s Mansion.
Beijing has a total of 7309 cultural relics and historical sites, 99 national key cultural relics protection  units, 326 municipal cultural relics protection units, 5 national geological parks, and 15 national forest parks.

Huzhou

Nestled in the picturesque waterways of Zhejiang Province, Huzhou stands as a charming city rich in  history and culture. Boasting a unique blend of natural beauty and ancient heritage, Huzhou offers visitors a glimpse into the serene lifestyle of the ancient Chinese water towns. Huzhou is renowned  for its beautiful lakes, serene canals, and lush greenery. The West Lake, a stunning natural landmark, attracts tourists with its serene scenery and picturesque bridges. Apart from its natural wonders,  Huzhou is also famous for its rich cultural heritage. The city is home to numerous ancient temples and historical sites that testify to its long and illustrious past. Moreover, Huzhou is a gastronomic  paradise. The city is famous for its delicious cuisine, especially its freshwater fish dishes and unique snacks. From freshly caught fish cooked in traditional ways to tasty street food, Huzhou offers a  mouth-watering culinary experience for food lovers.

China, a vast country steeped in ancient traditions and rich culture, offers a truly remarkable travel experience. From the grandeur of the Forbidden City and the Terracotta Warriors to the serene beauty of the Yangtze River and the Great Wall, China’s landscapes and historical sites are  breathtaking.
